John Alvey ~ 430-2641 ~ University of Louisvilleās Jamey Aebersold Jazz Studies Program. Drumset, first jazz ensemble, under direction of long time arranger for Buddy Rich and grammy-nominated band leader, John La Barbera. National radio broadcast featuring Los Angeles piano player Shelly Berg and contemporary jazz singer Lorraine Feather. Drummer for Louisville-based acid jazz/funk group, Paradigm. Recording experience in jazz, funk, big band, R&B, and alternative/folk rock. Performances with Nashville jazz artists Beegie Adair, Rod McGaha, Jim Ferguson, Dennis Solee, Don Aliquo, John Birdsong and Roger Spencer. Orchestral percussion experience and extensive marching percussion experience (two P.A.S.I.C national drumline championships).
Tim Chewning ~ Moorehead State Univ. on Music Scholarship; studied Advanced Music Theory, East African Drumming, Latin Percussion, Melodic Percussion and Marching Band; touring drummer for John Michael Montgomery, Kathy Mattea, Jessica Andrews, Richard Marx; Member/drummer of Ricochet; also performed with major recording artists such as Shania Twain, Exile, Trace Adkins; gospel, country, rock and jazz recording experience.
Tom Grignon ~ BM, The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. Has recorded with and/or toured with Trisha Yearwood, Clay Walker, The Ellis Brothers, Johnny Russell & Rhonda Vincent. TV includes CMT, The Grand Ole Opry, Nashville Now, On Stage and the Crook and Chase Show. Professional drum & percussion teacher since 1973.
