Music Lessons: BRASS (Trombone, French Horn, Trumpet, Tuba, Baritone)
Rick Palmiter. Teaches Trombone, French Horn, Flute, Trumpet, Tuba, & Baritone lessons. Rick earned a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music Education degree at Peabody College of Vanderbilt University (Major: Music Education Specialist). He has been a band director for 40 years, starting in 1975 at the University School of Nashville. He currently teaches low brass at Brentwood Academy and band at Montessori Academy. Rick currently plays trombone with the Judson Baptist Church Orchestra and Bone Therapy, a local trombone ensemble. He has taught private lessons at Shuff’s for 15 years.

David McMullan. Teaches Trumpet lessons. David earned a Bachelor of Music degree at Belmont University (Major: Commercial music/Composition and Arranging). He works as a studio session leader, producer, a published A.S.C.A.P. songwriter, and a post-production audio engineer/editor. David is part of the trumpet section of Williamson County's 5 Points Swing 20 member Big Band and a member of The CHILL Band. Solo improvisation is David's strong suit and he welcomes those wanting to improve their "ear-training" and "ad-lib" solo style. David teaches trumpet lessons to all ages and skill levels, and specializes in helping beginners get started or helping students catch up if changing schools or starting mid-season.

Scott Ducaj. Teaches Trumpet lessons. Scott earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at New Mexico State University, and a Master of Music Education degree at North Texas State University. In addition to professional playing and studio work, Scott also taught privately for 20 years. He then recorded and performed in over 30 stadium shows and over 200 arena shows including Madison Square Garden and the Lincoln Center. Scott has worked with artists such as: Kenny Chesney, Delbert McClinton, Keith Urban, Joe Walsh, Steve Miller, and many more. Scott is the Director of the Franklin Jazz Festival and Franklin on the Fourth. He is also the author of “Cool Tunes-Songs You Can Play in Your First Year” and “20 Modern Jazz Duets.” Scott teaches trumpet lessons to all ages and skill levels.
